The Brief
Produce a sketchbook for an urban planning company that communicates a sense of place, identity and observation around a particular theme or local area. Create a library of sketches from life and from photographs, then compile them into a four-page visual narrative.
The Solution
Hard rubbish has always fascinated me. I'm particularly interested in the way that haphazard hard rubbish piles break down the visual hierarchy between objects. I'm also very interested in and concerned about the disposability - real or imagined - of our possessions. I'll let the finished piece tell the rest of the story.
